The Basics of Craps

Craps is one of the most thrilling games played at online casinos. The object of the game of online craps is to predict the outcome or the roll of the dice.

The player who will throw the dice is called the shooter. The first roll of the dice is called the come-out roll. The shooter will win the come out roll if the result is a 7 or 11. The shooter will lose if the outcome is a 2, 3 or 12.

If the result of the dice is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 it is called a point. A point number is another option given to the shooter, if the point number comes out before a 7, the shooter wins. However, if a 7 comes out before rolling a point, the shooter loses.

A crap table is not only designed to be played by the shooter. Other players can also join in on the fun. Several bets could even be combined. The bets other players make could be a bet for the shooter or a bet against the player.

The three kinds of bets in craps are basic, odds and one roll bets.

Basic bets are the easiest bets to understand and, as named, the most basic. There are two kinds of basic bets. There is a bet made before or after the come out roll. In which it has two variations, to bet for the shooter or against the shooter.

The pass line bets are bets made for the shooter while the don’t pass line bets are against the shooter. These bets should be made before the come out roll is made.

The come bets or don’t come bets are made after the come-out roll. This is basically the same as pass line and don’t pass line bets except the bets are made after the come out roll. To help players know that the dice throw is a come-out roll, there will be a white disc on numbers that represent a point number.

Odd bets are additional bets that are made after the shooter has established a point. For a player, odd bets are great because even though you can lose more, you can also increase your winnings.

The last kind of bet for craps is the one roll bets. These bets are decided with only a single roll of the dice.
